Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal

    

Important Notice

 

The operation and function of the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal (GREAT) have been transferred to the New South Wales Industrial Relations Commission (IRC)

 

From 1 July 2010 all NSW Public Sector Appeals against Disciplinary, Promotion and Police Hurt on Duty decisions are lodged with the IRC’s Registry.

 

Legislation passed by the NSW Parliament has repealed the Government and Related Employees Appeal Tribunal Act 1980. In its place are very similar provisions which have been included in the Industrial Relations Act 1996 that deal with promotional and disciplinary appeals for public sector employees (new Part 7) and NSW Police Hurt on Duty Appeals.
